sweeping for manifestation (using feng shui while you sweep!)

Sharing is caring!

It might sound crazy, but sweeping and vacuuming are very powerful exercises in Feng Shui. Not only is cleaning your home magical for manifesting but doing it intentionally can raise the energy of your space to a whole other level.

Sweeping for manifestation (using feng shui while you sweep!)

When you think about it, your floors collect dirt from all over the place.  You track it in from outside.  Carpet holds dust and allergens.  And dark or cluttered corners collect pet hair and bad energy.  Sweeping and vacuuming not only removes the actual dirt and grime, but it also stirs up the chi and revitalizes the energy!

If you have something that you are really wanting to call into your life, vacuuming and sweeping can help you manifest it.

Here’s how to use sweeping (and vacuuming!) to raise the vibration of your home and help you manifest faster and more easily.

First, if you can, open your doors and windows so that the old energy in your home has somewhere to go. You don’t want to just stir it up and leave it there!

Second, write down the thing that you are currently trying to manifest in your life. Is it a new job? More money? A new romantic partner? Write it down on a small slip of paper.

Third, choose a mantra to repeat to yourself while you’re sweeping.  Choose an affirmation that helps you feel limitless and reminds you that your manifestation is coming!  You can either pull an affirmation card, like one from this deck:

Or find one on Pinterest that you love. Or even come up with your own!  Here are a few you can use to get started:

using mantras while you sweep and vacuum can help you manifest!

Fourth, if you love candles, light one before you start cleaning and while you light it, set the intention that this sweeping and vacuuming is shining new light on your manifestations.  Take the slip of paper that you wrote your manifestation intentions on, and place it under the candle. Candles represent fire energy, and fire always brings a new and bright energy to your manifestations!

Fifth, write down all of the things that you feel are holding you back from manifesting what you want. Write them all on a sheet of paper and don’t hold anything back. Write down any fears, limiting beliefs, or anything else you can think of that might be holding you back from receiving what you want.

Then:

  1. When you’re sweeping and vacuuming, visualize all of the things that you feel are holding you back being swept up into the dustpan or vacuum canister.  Then when you throw the dirt and debris in the trash, place the piece of paper you wrote your limitations on in the trash as well. Visualize those things leaving your life.  (Also take the trash out immediately after you finish to get those negative vibes out of your house!)
  2. Sweep the foyer and front porch. The front door is where energy enters your home, and it’s always symbolic of welcoming new things into your life. Sweep all of the dirt away from your home and visualize all of the old energy leaving and making space for new energy to enter.  While you’re sweeping, repeat the mantras you chose to yourself and imagine bright, golden light encompassing your front door and your home.
  3. Use a broom to sweep your ceilings and corners.  This gets rid of any lingering cobwebs but it also stirs up the stagnant energy that tends to collect there.  For bonus manifesting points and bonus energizing, you can clap your hands in the corners 3 times to revitalize them.  Or you can use bells, singing bowls, or play music with the intention that the old, stagnant energy is leaving.

Bonus high vibes: You can sprinkle salt or baking soda on your floors before vacuuming and sweeping with the intention that all bad vibes, bad smells, and negativity are absorbed.

Another thing I like to do is sprinkle a few drops of essential oils onto my vacuum filter so that it smells amazing every time I vacuum.  You can use lavender, any citrus oils, lemongrass, or even palo santo essential oils to help cleanse the vibrations of your space and brighten the energy.

Finally, once you’re done cleaning, blow out your candle and know that everything you’ve done is helping your intention to manifest.  Feel the feelings of “it is done” and it is!

Vacuuming and sweeping are ALWAYS powerful for manifestation, we just don’t really think of them that way in Western society. But bringing intention into your cleaning routine can make all of the difference.

What can you do about someone who won't change ? I live with someone hooked on pot, food, and clutter. He has health problems and we have no sex life whatsoever. He has a room that he keeps locked up that is filled with clutter and smells bad. This is the relationship part of the bagua. He just won't change and I don't know what I am going to do.

Is he willing to talk about it? About his addictions? He won't change until he stops this behavior. Couple counseling could help. He might have a past trauma that still haunts him and he has no idea on how to deal with it. Reach out to him in a loving way. If he doesn't want your help, then you need to decide if staying in the relationship as it is is worth it, is worth your time and energy. You don't have to stay in a toxic relationship and a toxic home. I wish you the best of luck.

Hi there! I would just ignore his room and use feng shui on the rooms you can control! His personal feng shui does "affect" you, but YOUR intentions for your space are more important in this situation. Don't try to change him! You can't anyway. Also don't worry that his room is in the relationship area. Just move that part of the bagua into the other rooms around it and pretend that area is "missing." Then use feng shui in those areas and try not to let his room bother you.
